Oros Machaira’s honey bottling centre is the only one on Cyprus with facilities to host baptism, engagement and wedding receptions, offering you and your guests the chance to savour special, honey-sweet unique moments.
Our facilities are located in the wild beauty of the mountains of Larnaca District between the villages of Melini and Odou (25 minutes from the exit for Choirokoitia in Larnaca District and 20 minutes from the exit for Parekklisia in Limassol District). On the way to the Oros Machaira honey bottling centre you’ll notice hives dotted around the mountains and hills since the roads you travel along and the villages you pass through are located on the “honey path” and this whole region has the most honey bottling centres in all of Cyprus. Our honey bottling centre, which opened in 2020, has a modern design and includes two rooms where honey is processed and bottled; a video screening room where visitors can watch videos about apiculture and our history; as well as a reception area and tasting room.
Just outside our honey bottling centre is an area that can host up to 500 people for buffets; there’s a large garden surrounded by honey-producing plants and trees, as well as benches and tables where you can sit and enjoy the clean mountain air under the light of stars in a truly charming atmosphere!
We offer a special discount to couples who want their wedding favours to include Cypriot honey from our Oros Machaira honey bottling centre; honey acclaimed for its quality both by bee-keepers’ associations and international prizes.
