Blossom Honey Oros Machaira

The rich flora of Cyprus allows us to produce rich and unique blossom honey. Our blossom honey consists mainly of orange blossoms, myrrh, mersinia, allenia and other wild plants of Cyprus.

The blossom honey is usually light in colour, lighter than thyme honey and does not always taste the same. It depends entirely on the variety of flowers from which the bees collected it. Our bees, depending on the flowers create different honey for us every year!

The benefits of honey from the flowers are many. Typically, we could say that it improves the proper functioning of the digestive system, has antimicrobial and antiseptic properties. We must also mention that like any honey it gives energy and endurance to our body.

The blossom honey is an ideal substitute for sugar in both confectionery and the daily diet. Its antibacterial and antioxidant properties make it a much better choice than sugar. Due to its high natural sugar content, blossom honey crystallizes very quickly within 6 to 18 months.
