Oros Machaira honey certified with the quality mark of the organised bodies of beekeepers

Our honey, Oros Machaira honey, after the Superior Taste Award quality awards from the international taste competition of the ITQI (International Taste and Quality Institute) organisation and the Silver Honey Award from the London Honey Awards competition, is now also certified with the quality mark of the organised bodies of beekeepers!

This mark, according to an announcement by the beekeepers, certifies that the honey is 100% Cypriot as it comes exclusively from the nectar of Cypriot flowers, and this is ensured through the strict authenticity checks carried out by the state chemical laboratory (method for determining geographical origin). Also, consumers can feel confident that “the honey has been produced by producers of Cyprus who, through continuous seminars in Cyprus and abroad, have learned to observe all the correct beekeeping practices provided for by the regulations in beekeeping, as well as the strict directives of the European Union, so that both in production and in bottling they ensure the highest quality and that the nutritional value of the honey remains at the highest levels, that is, that the honey remains an unaltered and pure natural product”, it is added.

We, as Oros Machaira, have a tradition in the effort to protect and promote both Cypriot honey and correct beekeeping practices. We are sure that all of you, who have honoured us for years, know this first-hand. Now, with the quality mark of the organised bodies of beekeepers, this is certified officially as well. From now on, all Oros Machaira honey packages will bear the mark (photograph) that will certify both the fact that Oros Machaira honey is 100% Cypriot and the fact that it is produced with correct beekeeping practices.
